CFD Fire Prevention Bureau
The Division is responsible for the management support for the Fire Investigation Unit, the Hazardous Materials Code Enforcement Unit, the Fire Specialist Inspection Program, and the Fire Prevention Permit Program. In addition, the Fire Prevention Bureau has numerous outreach programs to help educate the public on fire safety and other life saving procedures.

Direct contact with students attending Cincinnati Public Schools located within low-income areas of Cincinnati
- To ensure alarms are distributed to households within the City of Cincinnati where they are not already currently present

- To promote to the children within the Cincinnati Public School system to practice an effective Home Escape Plan
